This policy explains what information we collect when you use Meshdream’s sites, services, mobile applications, products, and content (“Services”). It also has information about how we store, use, transfer, and delete that information. Our aim is not just to comply with privacy law. It’s to earn your trust.

Policies and Safety

When you use Meshdream, you join a community of people from all over the world. Community feature on Meshdream involves a certain level of trust. Millions of users respect that trust and we trust you to be responsible too. Following the guidelines below helps to keep Meshdream a fun and exciting platform for everyone.

You get to choose, accept and follow people on Meshdream. If you think your friend posted an inappropriate content, use the spam feature to submit it for review by our Meshdream staff. Our staff carefully reviews spammed content 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to determine whether there’s a violation of our Community Guidelines.

Community Guidelines

Here are some common-sense rules that will help you stay out of trouble. Please take these rules seriously and take them to your heart. Don’t try to look for loopholes or try to lawyer your way around the guidelines. We create them with a purpose – to serve you the Best Experience as we could. Please understand and respect them.

Nudity or sexual content

Meshdream is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If this describes your content, even if it’s a photo of yourself, don’t post it on Meshdream. Also, be advised that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation.

Harmful or dangerous content

Don’t post any content that encourage others to do things that might cause them to get badly hurt, especially kids. Videos showing such harmful or dangerous act may get age-restricted or removed depending on their severity.

Hateful content

Our products are platforms for free expression and creativity. But we don’t support content that promotes or condones violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity, or whose primary purpose is inciting hatred on the basis of these core characteristics. This can be a delicate balancing act, but if the primary purpose is to attack a protected group, the content crosses the line.

Violent or graphic content

We truly not allow anyone to post violent or gory content that’s primarily intented to be shocking, sensational, or gratuitous. If posting graphic content in a news or documentary context, please be mindful to provide enough information to help people understand what’s going on in the content. Don’t encourage other to commit specific acts of violence.

Harassment and cyberbullying

Please avoid posting an abusive videos and comments on Meshdream. If harassment crosses the line into a malicious attack it can be reported and may be removed. In other cases, users may be mildly annoying or petty and should be ignored.

Spam, misleading metadata, and scams

Everyone hates spam. It’s really inappropriate to create misleading title or descriptions, hashtags, or featured image in order to increase views. It’s not okay to post large amounts of untargeted, unwanted or repetitive content, including comments and private messages.

Threats

Everyone wants to have an amazing experience here, please respect that. Things like spreading virus, clickbait ads link, predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invading privacy, revealing other people’s personal information, inciting others to commit violent acts or to violate the Terms of Use are taken very seriously. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned form Meshdream.

Copyright

We appreciate creativity but please respect copyright. Only upload contents that you made or that you’re authorized to use. This means don’t upload photos and videos you didn’t make, or use content in your post that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or contents made by other users, without necessary authorizations. If we detected that you are doing this, or received any complaints from other users, we may remove your content immediately or give you a warning about it so that you can take it down by yourself.

Privacy

If someone has posted your personal information or uploaded a photo or video of you without your consent, you can request removal of content based on our Privacy Guidelines.

Impersonation

Accounts that are established to impersonate another account of individual may be removed under our impersonation policy.

Child Safety

Meshdream requires user account users to be 18 years old, but children age of 18 years old and below can sign up with a parent’s permission since a large and growing numbers of children 18 and under are using social media networks, often with their parent’s knowledge and consent. Children under 13 are not permitted to sign up for Meshdream. Please be noted that,we work closely with law enforcement and we report child endangerment.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. However, if you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Information We Collect & How We Use It

In order to give you the best possible experience using Meshdream, we collect information from your interactions with our network. Some of this information, you actively tell us (such as your email address, which we use to track your account or communicate with you). Other information, we collect based on actions you take while using Meshdream, such as what pages you access and your interactions with our product features (like highlights, follows, and applause). This information includes records of those interactions, your Internet Protocol address, information about your device (such as device or browser type), and referral information.

We use this information to:

  • provide, test, improve, promote and personalize Meshdream Services
  • fight spam and other forms of abuse
  • generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how people use Meshdream Services

When you create your Meshdream account, and authenticate with a third-party service (like Twitter, Facebook or Google) we may collect, store, and periodically update information associated with that third-party account, such as your lists of friends or followers. We will never publish through your third-party account without your permission.

Information Disclosure

Meshdream won’t transfer information about you to third parties for the purpose of providing or facilitating third-party advertising to you. We won’t sell information about you.

We may share your account information with third parties in some circumstances, including: (1) with your consent; (2) to a service provider or partner who meets our data protection standards; (3) with academic or non-profit researchers, with aggregation, anonymization, or pseudonomization; (4) when we have a good faith belief it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other legal process; (5) when we have a good faith belief that doing so will help prevent imminent harm to someone.

If we are going to share your information in response to legal process, we’ll give you notice so you can challenge it (for example by seeking court intervention), unless we’re prohibited by law or believe doing so may endanger others. We will object to requests for information about users of our services that we believe are improper.

Why do we ask for your date of birth?

Children under 13 are not permitted to use Meshdream, and so this Privacy Policy makes no provision for their use of Meshdream services. If you are a parent or guarding and learn that your minor child has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, please let us know and we may remove the account if it’s necessary.

Why do we collect and use your email?

We use email as a really important way to communicate with you. You can manage your email notification preferences, such as messages and follower alerts, by adjusting your preferences in the Notification section of your account Settings. You may also opt out or unsubscribe from any future email communications from within a link provided in some promotional email we send you. However, please note that in all cases you will continue to receive all system e-mails (e.g. those regarding forgetten user passwords) and legal noticies (e.g. updates to our policies) from us.

What can other Meshdream users see?

Our services are designed to help you share information with the Meshdream community. Any personal information that you voluntarily choose to include in a publicity accessible area of the Service will be available to anyone who has access to that content (including other Meshdream users), such as your username, display name, the description you create,  your location, or anything related to your profile information, as well as the content you have post, whether on groups, or your profile, and the lists you create, people you follow, stories you write, and many other bits of information that result from your use of the Services.

We may use this information to make inferences, like what topics you may be interested in, to develop new products and services for the Meshdream community, and to customize the content we show you, including ads. Our default is almost always to make the information you provide through Meshdream public to the rest of the Meshdream community, but we generally give you features, like direct messages, to make the information more private if you want.

Where do we store your Personal Information?

Please be noted that we only collect your email, age and your payable account number (for us to pay you from your earning). Our Services are mainly provided from our offices in Malaysia. However, Personal Information that you submit through the Services is transferred to our server’s countries other than where you reside (where currently our server provider operates at 52 Springvale Pope Pius XII Street, Mosta, Malta) for processing and storage.

Access to your Personal Information

If you wish to access any Personal Information that we hold about you, or request that we correct or delete the Personal Information that we hold about you, you may contact us via email at mail@meshdream.com. We will comply with such requests to the extent required by law or our policiiesm and subject to any limitations in our systems.

To access, modify or delete the Personal Information you have provided to us, please log in and update your profile.

How do we protect your Personal Information?

On Meshdream platform, we support encryption on all your private and confidential information (such as your password) to protect Personal Information submitted on our Site, even from our staff and company server’s database.

We are continuously implementing and updating physical, organizational, contractual and technological security measures to protect your Personal Information from loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

What happens to your Personal Information when you leave Meshdream?

Once you deleted your Meshdream account, our system will automatically remove all of your information in our database. We permanently delete your Personal Information from our systems. We believe that it’s the best way to protect your personal information and your contents. As we respect all your hard work, we won’t keep any of your contents once you deleted your account.

So, please be mindful before deleting your account because you may not be able to retrieve your content back.

Changes for Future Policies

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent; in other cases, please note that your continued use of the Services after any change means that you agree with, and consent to be bound by, the revised Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any changes in this Privacy Policy and do not wish your Personal Information to be subject to the revised Policy, you will need to close your account and/or stop using the Services.
